ReachStream Email Verifier

Verifying emails from inside Claude — setup guide

Try it now

Once the connector is added, just ask Claude in plain English. A few things to try:

  • “Verify jane@acme.com using ReachStream EmailVerifier.”
  • “Check these three emails: jane@acme.com, john@acme.com, bad-address@example.com.”
  • “What’s the status of my last verification request?”
  • “Verify this list of leads before I upload them to my CRM.”

Claude submits the emails, waits for verification to finish, and reports the result back to you — no dashboard visit required.

What this connector does

The ReachStream EmailVerifier connector lets you verify email addresses directly from a Claude conversation — no need to open the ReachStream dashboard. Ask Claude to verify one address, a handful, or a whole list, and it submits the request, waits for the result, and reports back which addresses are safe to send to.

Connecting Claude to ReachStream

claude.ai (web) and the Claude mobile app

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Select Add custom connector, then enter the connector URL:
https://emailverifier-mcp.reachstream.com/mcp
  1. Sign in with your ReachStream account (email and password, or Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn) when prompted. This is the same login you use on reachstream.com, so verifications draw on your existing plan and credits.
  2. Once the connector shows “Connected,” you’re ready — try one of the prompts at the top of this guide.
Signed in on the web app or desktop app already? The same connector is available on the Claude mobile app under your account — no separate setup needed.

Claude Desktop and Claude Code

Developers and technical users can also run this connector locally or point Claude Desktop / Claude Code at it directly. See the connector’s setup documentation for the exact configuration steps.

Understanding your results

Verification runs in the background: Claude submits the address, then checks back until a final result is ready.

ResultWhat it means
ValidThe mailbox exists and can safely receive mail.
Catch-AllThe domain accepts mail for any address, so this specific mailbox can’t be individually confirmed.
Risky-ValidThe mailbox appears to exist but carries traits that raise deliverability risk (for example, a role-based address).
RiskyElevated chance of a bounce or blocklist hit — for example disposable or temporarily rejecting addresses.
InvalidThe mailbox doesn’t exist, or the address is malformed or undeliverable. Don’t send to it.
Do Not MailThe address is a spam trap or otherwise flagged as unsafe to contact. Never send to it — doing so can damage your sender reputation.
Pending / ProcessingVerification is still running. Claude checks again automatically and reports the final result once it’s ready.

Credits and limits

  • Each email that is successfully verified uses 1 credit from your ReachStream Email Verifier plan — the same credit pool used by the ReachStream Email Verifier dashboard.
  • Emails that fail to process (for example, a malformed address) are not charged.
  • Up to 10,000 email addresses can be submitted in a single request, and up to 200 past requests can be checked at once.

How long verification takes

  • A single email is typically verified in the time it takes to read Claude’s reply — Claude checks automatically and lets you know as soon as it’s done.
  • Larger lists take proportionally longer. You can keep chatting with Claude in the meantime; it will report the final results once every address has a status.

Troubleshooting

If you see…It means…Do this
“No approval received” on a verify request (browser)Verifying emails uses credits, so Claude asks you to approve the action first. In-browser, that approval prompt can be missed because of an ad blocker/privacy extension, a background tab, or a dropped connection.Send the request again and click Approve promptly. If it keeps happening, try an incognito window with extensions off, or reconnect under Settings → Connectors.
Stuck on the sign-in screenYou’re authenticating with your normal ReachStream login — a stuck session can loop the browser back to sign-in.Close and restart the connector flow from Settings → Connectors, and sign in with the same email your ReachStream account uses.
“Request limit reached” or “Plan expired”Your account is out of credits, or your plan’s validity date has passed.Check your credit balance in your ReachStream account, or contact support to top up or renew.
“Rate limit exceeded”Verification requests are capped per account to keep the service fast and fair for everyone.Wait under a minute and try again. For large lists, send fewer, larger batches instead of many small ones.
Result stays “pending”Verification runs in the background, so it’s not instant — larger lists take longer.Ask Claude to check again in a moment; it will keep polling and report back once it’s done.
“Request not found”The request id doesn’t exist, or belongs to a different ReachStream account than the one you’re connected with.Confirm you’re signed in with the right ReachStream account and try again.

Example: a full conversation

You: Verify jane@acme.com using ReachStream EmailVerifier

Claude: I’ve submitted jane@acme.com for verification (request #310878, status: pending). I’ll check back for the result.

Claude: jane@acme.com is Valid — the mailbox exists and is safe to send to.
